Project Aims
With this project I intended to build a specific style within my work. But more specifically, within my business. With the overall goal of forming a closer bond with my viewers and audience. My audience being young people, interested in the clothing, music and culture that I show through my brand and work.

I also wished to emphasise my passion for brutalist architecture and how I can use location, hand in hand with clothing, in order to achieve this 'Urban Outdoors' aesthetic. Conceived through my love for the functionality of outerwear garments.
Location Selection
For this project I knew from the start I wanted incorporate Brutalist Architecture as I definitely feel it reflects my style of work. From grey smoky tones to concrete textures. However, there are several videos that particularly inspired my choice for Barbican specifically:
-D Double x Skepta~ Sniper (Music Video)
-Next landscape by James Masiah for CP Company (Promotional Video)
Ayrtn~ GANGSTA (Music Video)
Skepta~ Shutdown (Music Video
All shot in and around Barbican, excluding 'Next landscape by James Masiah for CP Company (Promotional Video)', which is shot around other Brutalist areas of London.

After selecting location, it was then a case of researching Barbican. Which was specifically important regarding the Covid-19 restrictions.

Development
What seems like a short 30 second clip, actually took several hours. With many changes, alterations and choices made, to make it the finished product I am happy with.
Edit 1
Experimenting with music and syncing the edit with audio. My main aim for the 'first edit' was to consider footage, evaluating which clips I should use and where. Almost 'drafting' my ideas to develop as I continued the edit.
Edit 2
With this edit, I chose to experiment with pace, trying a slightly slower audio in order to provide a much more cinematic edit. Conclusively, deciding a much faster edit with complex transitions, was more suited to this promotional video.
Edit 3
After realising the pace and knowing exactly what I wanted to include and where (in terms of transitions etc), this edit was a collection of all my ideas, the only differences from the finished video being audio and timeline reconstruction.
